- An applicant’s status can be affected by the crimes committed outside or inside of Canada.
Processing of Citizenship Application
To apply for a Canadian Citizenship, all applications are to be submitted in the citizenship office in Sydney, Nova Scotia where they are investigated to make sure they are complete and the 3-year residence rule has been met. Within 12 months from application submission, the applicants will be called for an interview to demonstrate their knowledge about Canada in either English or French.
